20 The snake, puma and condor are symbolic representations of Inca beliefs. The snake (Uqhu Pacha) represents the lower or underworld. The middle world of humans, called Kay Pacha, is represented by the puma. The upper world of the Gods, Hanan Pacha, is represented by the condor. A cobra, onça-parda e condor são representações simbólicas de crenças incas. A serpente (Uqhu Pacha) representa a mais baixa ou submundo. Nearly 3 weeks in Southern Peru allowed us the opportunity to visit several historical and archaeological sites as well as several churces and other must-see destinations, including Lima, Arequipa, Chivay, Colca Valley, Puno, Lake Titicaca, Uros, Taquile, Cusco, Saqsaywaman, Tambomachay, Sacred Valley, Aguas Calientes, Huayna Picchu, Machu Picchu. In Machu Picchu, besides the site itself, we also hiked up Huayna Picchu for an entirely different view of Machu Picchu.
